To further protect the animal, the felt is intentionally relieved along the spine, eliminating direct pressure over the dorsal process. This spine-relief design allows the pad to contour naturally to the back while maintaining support where it’s needed most, on the ribs, not the spine.
A durable, weather-resistant outer shell stands up to abrasive terrain, brush, and variable weather, while the internal structure remains soft, responsive, and supportive against the animal’s back. The full-coverage 34" x 34" profile provides ample surface area to stabilize heavy panniers and top loads while minimizing pressure points.
